Who We Are
................................................................................................................................
Our
Senior Pastor

Dave, a Holland, Michigan native,
has been in the ministry since graduating from Westminster
Theological Seminary in Philadelphia in 1983. Dave and his
wife Sue have four children; Mark, Joel, Emily, and Rachel.
As a pastor, Dave believes his primary responsibility is to
serve the church as an equipper. One of the most important
ways a pastor can nurture growth and develop ministry is by
equipping others to lead. As an equipper-leader, his role
is to provide vision, teaching, and encouragement to those
who share in the life of the church.
Dave has a strong passion for missions. As part of his experience
as a church planter in Illinois, Dave received training through
Mission to North America and participated in the Sonship Mentoring
Network of World Harvest Mission and for the past few years
has gone on annual short-term missions trips with World Harvest
assisting in the training of church planters in India.
Our
Assistant Pastor
My name is Mike Gordon and I’m
the new pastor of ministry development/worship here at Christ
Pres! I wanted to take this opportunity to say hello and tell
you a bit about myself. I’ve been married for ten years
to a wonderful wife named Kristen. We met in Rock Hill, SC,
and fell hopelessly in love at a Young Life camp called Windy
Gap in Asheville, NC. We have two daughters named Abby and
Hannah. They are great joys in our life. They’re going
to love being a little over an hour from the beach! We are
coming from a church in Greensboro called Friendly Hills Church,
PCA. I was the Worship and Youth pastor and later the Worship
and Young Adults pastor. We were there nearly six years.
I’m so excited to be coming to Christ Pres! When I heard
of the job description and how I’d be working with music,
developing small group ministries, and visitor integration,
I jumped on this. Greenville seems like a “gold mine”
of ministry opportunity!
I’m thrilled to be working as the pastor of ministry
development. I hope that together we will explore just how
much Jesus loves us! I’m also thrilled to lead the worship
at Christ Pres. I believe that the worship of God is the highest
calling in life! I play the guitar mainly, but also play the
piano, mandolin, bass, and ‘piddle’ with the banjo.
I truly love playing with and leading praise teams!
