Our Associate Pastor

Mike Gordon, from Rutherfordton, NC has lived all over North Carolina.  He arrived in Greenville in April of 2008.  He went to Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC graduating in 2002.  He served at a church in Greensboro, NC as youth and worship pastor before coming to Christ Pres.  Mike and his wife Kristen have two beautiful girls, Abby and Hannah.  He and Kristen have been married since 1998.  He loves to go to the beach with his family...and he also loves playing golf.

Mike's title is Associate pastor.  He oversees the music at Christ Pres.  He leads from guitar, but occasionally brings out the mandolin.  He has a heart for the old hymns to be sung in new ways.  He is also over visitor integration, small groups, community groups and church life.  Mike loves being with people and he loves connecting visitors to the life of the church!  He feels that his role here is to lead folks to the Well!"

Pastor of Student Ministries

Stephen Laughridge is a native of “The Palmetto State,” and grew up in Columbia, S.C. Though has been a “S.C. Boy” most of his life, he is glad to still be in the Carolinas after he and his family moved to Greenville, N.C. Stephen is a graduate of Winthrop University and met his wife Pressly Ann while starting seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, N.C. They were married in June of 1999. They have 3 children (Thomas, John, & SarahGrace). Stephen has been involved in Student Ministry for over 20 years and many of those years was involved as a volunteer leader with Young Life. He has served as a Youth Pastor in 3 churches since graduating from College and still loves hanging out with students, and loves to mentor and disciple them.

Stephen is a big fan of the ACC, and especially the Clemson Tigers. Some of Stephen’s favorite things to do are talking with Pressly Ann, Playing with our children, Reading, Playing Guitar, Cooking, Hunting, Fishing, Movies, Biking as a family, Hiking/Camping, and drinking good coffee (he is a self-proclaimed coffee snob ☺)! He is still getting used to the Eastern N.C. style of BBQ…if you want real BBQ come to SC!

Secretary

Cindy Hamilton, a native of Covington, KY, has been a member of Christ Presbyterian since early 1993. After two 17-year careers at Procter & Gamble corporate offices and then homeschooling, she is now serving as our church secretary and newsletter co-editor. She also does administrative work for the local chapter of Christian Medical and Dental Associations, one of the ministries we support. Cindy and husband Steve have been together since 7th grade and have been blessed with three now-grown children, Stephen, Bethany, and Jordan. In her spare time, Cindy enjoys helping Steve restore their vintage home, reading, and quilting with church friends.

Finance Administrator

Rocky Bossé grew up in the small papermill town of Millinocket, ME. She has been a member of Christ Presbyterian since 2004. Prior to coming to work for Christ Pres, Rocky worked in the accounting field for 28 years in four different churches and in three universities. Rocky and husband Mike were high school sweethearts and have been married for more than 30 years. They have been blessed with two grown children, Sarah and Michael. Rocky enjoys ballroom dancing, reading, sewing, making handmade cards and, most of all, building Excel spreadsheets.

Nursery Coordinator

Hi, I am Jennifer Keesler and I am honored to serve as the Nursery Coordinator here at Christ Presbyterian. This job was custom made for me… I love kids, organization and being a part of a team, which are the major parts of the job. I graduated with a degree and certification in Elementary Education from Houghton College. I have spent most of the time since then working with children, mostly in a preschool/daycare setting. I really enjoy being able to make our nurseries a great place for our kids to come every week and making sure we have the staff there to love them. I am married to my dear, and very patient husband, Ed and have two sweet girls, Abigail and Katelynne. When I am not working, I can sometimes be found with a Karen Kingsbury book in my hand, preferably on the beach, with a cold Cherry Coke Zero.

Children's Director

My name is Kristen Gordon. I have been married to my husband, Mike for 11 years. We have two delightful daughters ages 3 and 6. I graduated from Erskine College and taught first grade before becoming a mother. Now I enjoy working as the part time co-children's director at Christ Pres. My responsibilities include recruiting Sunday School and children's church teachers, ordering curriculum, planning VBS, and overseeing children's activities for children 4 years old through 6th grade.
