Please join us for an investigation of Jesus during Community
Group hour every Sunday morning, beginning at 11:15.
We are working through a DVD series from pastor Mark Driscoll
of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Washington. The series is one
in apologetics, which is a great approach to help you begin
to understand what we believe and why we believe it, or to shore
up your long-held convictions about the person and work of Jesus
Christ, our Lord!
We have started a CPC College Ministry Facebook group,
and would love to have you join in to stay up with all that
is happening in College Ministry here at Christ Presbyterian
Church. Look us up!"
Our
Purpose:
-College ministry at CPC is designed to edify, teach, and
love the college-age students in the body at CPC.
-College ministry at CPC is designed to reach out to and evangelize
non-CPC college-age students at East Carolina University and
Pitt Community College.
-A community group time is important for continuity and to
provide a sense of "placeness" for the college-age
students at CPC. The community group might meet off-site on
the occasional Sunday, perhaps occurring instead at a CPC
family's home for study, discussion, fellowship, and a meal
in a comfy environment.
-College ministry at CPC is student-driven, with students
providing the direction of outreach to lost classmates, acts
of service to the community, curriculum for community group
and Bible study sessions, and social activities.
